Our Portion

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
–Lamentations 3:24

AS we announced in The Feast Family issue last Sunday, April 18, 2021, the moving Biblical verse above inspired us to share yes, our portion of the blessings God showers on His people, on all of us in our Light of Jesus Family and The Feast.

As we said, in Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. and E. B. White, the Number 1 rule in writing is “Place yourself in the background.”

So, we had refrained from posting anything about us. But as we said, after deep prayer, we now have this conviction that for God’s glory, these blessings must be shared to be blessings for our readers, and to glorify our loving God. So, we came out from the background and shared Our Portion of blessings last week.

Instagram Notification

AFTER we finished last week’s issue of The Feast Family, I still had qualms about featuring our own stories on this platform. But would you believe, I received a clear and present message that allayed my anxiety.

I sent the finished layout of the The Feast Family April 18, 2021, issue, to Sis. Joy Aduan of The Feast Mercy Ministries, in charge of distribution of our online magazine, on Thursday, April 15, at 6:38 p.m.

Then just to relax, I checked my Instagram page. And look, at right, the very first post I saw…

Our founder, Bro. Bo Sanchez’s Instagram post saying, All people will be blessed through you.

Clear and present affirmation, I must say.

Bro. Bo, staying at home as he was diagnosed with the Coronavirus Disease, had no inkling about my apprehensions.

Note that he posted this message also on Thursday, at 1 p.m.—just about the time I was wondering if we should create this Blessings sub-section about Our Portion.

What or Who inspired Bro. Bo to make this post— even as he had not yet seen our April 18 issue?

We believe no One else but the Holy Spirit. Our good and great God, who is really the Publisher of The Feast Family!

And should you be like me, shy, making excuses, vacillating about sharing your blessings, here’s another affirmation Bro. Bo posted the following Monday, April 19, 2021:

NOTE: Bro. Bo has a daily inspirational podcast dubbed Fulltank.

But since he was not yet up and about to make his Fulltank podcast, for Monday, April 19, 2021, this post above is a replay of his previous Preacher in Blue Jeans video.

Tell me if this is mere coincidence: That of the hundreds of Bro. Bo’s previous podcasts, this post is saying, “We may not know it right away, but God has a way of calling us to serve Him.”

Oh, yes! God used Instagram to affirm He has called us to continue serving Him.

Now, guess Who really invented Instagram or, for that matter, the entire world wide web?!
