I met him last year in Cardinal Santos Medical Center where I am currently working as a nurse. At first, we aren’t that close, we’re just colleagues working at the same hospital. If you know me, I am a strict nurse and almost everyone are afraid of me, so I have this thinking that I will never be noticed.
Then by December, I was assigned to facilitate the preparation of our Christmas Party. That was the time get
to know each other, that was the time he noticed me. I rejected him three times because of what I’ve experienced before, but he pursued me well. I prayed to God and surrendered everything.
I believe God showed me his answer by showing me this guy’s genuine actions. I experienced a love that I don’t have to ask for, a love that is freely given. He accepted and embraced the part of me that I think is unlovable, and because of that I learned to love every part of who I am. I am experiencing the happiness that I never experienced before. I see the love of Christ through this person and he is my one big blessing amidst this pandemic.

I am grateful to God that I am still earning because of my work now even in these trying times. I am still able to provide for my family’s needs and at the same time I have the opportunity to help those who are in need.
God has been so present in my life through the people that surrounds me.
