PAG-ASA SCHOLARS, PART 4
Surviving Millennial Challenges
SISTER MARIFI
I AM Sister Marifi from the Dominican Sisters Congregation.
Before I entered the convent, I served as a staff of Bro. Rey Ortega in the Jeremiah 33 Foundation, which he founded to take care of abused girls.
So, by God’s grace and the kind help of Bro. Rey, I became a Pag-asa scholar.
Tackling Online School
For my education, I used to depend only on my Congregation which in turn has been able to get by through donors. The Pag-asa financial assistance has lightened the burden of my Congregation which also takes care of the education of my co-sisters. We are quite a number.
I need more help during this Pandemic. Because of the imposed Quarantines, we have to study via online. I was not born with this millennial generation so it’s difficult for me to learn the high technology apps of the online school.
With the Pag-asa assistance, I’ve been able to afford the additional expenses going online entails. And I am thankful my teachers and classmates patiently guide me. So, I am well surviving through this difficult system.
Thank you very much, Pag-asa Sirs, Madams, for your help. You are all included in my prayers. I pray that you will have the resources you need to be able to help more students in need like me. Salamat po.
