This Pandemic Heals!
By GRASYA CABANERO
A FRIEND invited me to attend The Feast back in 2014.
I didn’t know much about the Community. I attended once, and it took me a few years to go back to The Feast since I had other commitments every Sunday back then.
But God has always great plans. He surrounded me with people who have drawn me closer to Him.
I had weekend shifts in the company I worked for. One day, my teammates invited me to attend The Feast with them. And since then, I have been attending regularly, enjoying the blessings of The Feast.
At The Feast, you learn a lot that God provides for our needs, God heals our broken relationships, and God forgives. As our founder, Bro. Bo Sanchez preaches…
Here, let me count my blessings…
First, at the height of this Coronavirus Pandemic, God led me to a new career.
Second, my new company allows me to work from home.
Third, since I am working from home, I’ve been able to save transportation money which I now add to my budget for my house rent.
Fourth, I am now living with my mom, and being together has deepened our relationship.
Fifth, this Pandemic, though torturous for some, has forced me to reckon
with pains of broken relationships for ten long years.
Every day is a grueling process but the thought that the Pandemic can snatch anyone’s life any time has led me to finally let go, forgive, and accept that people around me are human –just like me—struggling with circumstances that I’m not even fully aware of.
I believe that God somehow used this Pandemic for me to face my Life’s challenges and to choose to stop my decade of bleeding. Yes, this Pandemic heals!
The menace has shaken off my pride and by God’s grace, I am moving forward with a genuine forgiveness in my heart.
Thinking of some friends losing the people they love because of this Pandemic, I’ve realized that I should be grateful that I still have mine– and I don’t want to have regrets over taking this time together for granted. God is amazing!
